Conseils de revente

Twenty-five pieces is one machine load and one afternoon. Start by setting aside the few pieces that need treatment — lingering odour, a transfer to re-fix — and wash the rest in one go.

Caring for technical fabrics

  • Wash at 30 °C, with no fabric softener. Softener coats performance fibres, kills moisture-wicking, and traps odours instead of clearing them.
  • If a piece smells stale, don't just rewash it: soak it for an hour in warm water with a glass of white vinegar. Polyester traps sweat residues, and only an acidic soak lifts them.
  • No tumble dryer. Heat distorts elastane, pills polyester and lifts transfers.
  • No ironing needed. Polyester dries crease-free on a hanger — across 25 pieces, you're ready to shoot the next morning.
  • Never put an iron on a printed number, name or badge: they melt. If a crease holds, steam at a distance only.

Resale strategy

  • With 25 pieces, list everything individually. You don't have the volume for bundles, and that's not the point: this is the format for polishing each listing and testing your prices before buying bigger.
  • This category sells all year, unlike jackets or knitwear. Just two mild upticks: January, with gym sign-ups, and the September back-to-school period.
  • On a jersey, value comes from the team, not the brand. Identify the club, the season, the player on the back where possible. An NBA or NFL piece listed with its franchise name sells at a completely different level from the same item listed as "vintage sports shirt".
  • Separate the functional from the fashion. A running tee speaks to an athlete and sells at a utility price; a 90s jersey or a bold-logo piece speaks to the vintage buyer and sells for considerably more. Two listings, two prices, two vocabularies.
  • Give flat measurements. Athletic cuts run smaller than a standard tee — the leading cause of returns in this category.

Potentiel de revente

  • Your cost: €7.56 per piece.
  • Once washed, a Grade A branded sports top typically resells for €15 to €30 on Vinted, Depop or eBay — training tees at the lower end, sweatshirts, club jerseys and NBA or NFL pieces at the top (indicative range — adjust it against your own sales).
  • Potential on this box: between €300 and €600 in resale value for a €189 outlay — the rest comes down to your sorting and your photos.
  • Indicative only — it depends on your sorting, your photos and your market.

Understanding our grades

Every box displays a badge indicating its composition. Here is what each grade means:

🟢 Grade A — good overall condition

Garments that meet professional second-hand standards: few or no visible flaws. Resellable after a simple wash and press.

🟡 Grade B — visible signs of wear

Usable pieces showing more pronounced marks of use: light stains, fading, fabric wear or minor flaws. Well suited to resale at an adjusted price, or after light reconditioning.

What each badge means:

  • Badge "Grade A/B" → around 80% Grade A + 20% Grade B.
  • Badge "Grade B" → 100% Grade B (no Grade A pieces).
  • Badge "Bale" → around 75% Grade A on average, a rate that varies from one bale to the next.

👉 Always refer to the badge shown on each box: it states the exact composition of that particular lot.

Compressed bales: what to expect

A bale is not a box. It is sold exactly as we receive it: press-compressed and strapped. We remove no pieces, we recompose nothing, and we do not wash.

  • Around 75% Grade A on average, against ~80% for a box. This is an observed average that varies from one bale to the next: as no re-sorting is carried out, the composition depends entirely on the incoming shipment.
  • The clothes arrive creased. This is the effect of compression and has no impact on the fabric: steaming is enough.
  • Washing and ironing are your responsibility before listing.
  • Neither brands, nor sizes, nor models are guaranteed piece by piece. What the product page describes is an average composition, not a certified item-by-item content.

This is the accepted trade-off for the lowest price per piece in our catalogue: less selection upstream, more reconditioning work, and the widest margin once that work is done.

The reality of second-hand

Like any garment that has already had a first life, some items show natural signs of use: softened fabric, less rigid finishes, small imperfections that come from washing and time. These characteristics are inherent to vintage clothing and part of the product's life cycle.

Our advice for getting the most from your resale

Before listing, plan for light care: washing, ironing, and where needed stain removal or a minor repair. This reconditioning work makes a clear difference to how the pieces present and how attractive they look.

To learn more about our grading system and the distinction between Grade A and Grade B, see our dedicated guide.

Box of 25 Branded Sportswear Tops

Description de la box

This box holds 25 second-hand sports tops, picked piece by piece from established sports brands. The contents fall into four families of garments.

What's in the box

Technical tees make up the volume: breathable polyester, short or long sleeves, a printed or embroidered logo at the chest. Jerseys come from football, basketball and American football, with numbers and names printed on the back, licensed by clubs or by the NBA and NFL. Sports sweatshirts and hoodies are fleece-backed, hooded or crewneck, often with a bold logo. Alongside them sit fitted long-sleeve baselayers, worn under kit. The split between these four families varies with each intake.

The brands and their technologies

Nike, Adidas, Puma, Under Armour, New Balance, Kappa, Helly Hansen, The North Face and Ralph Lauren are the labels that come up most often. Each identifies its performance fabrics with a registered name, readable on the care label or printed inside the collar: Dri-FIT at Nike, HeatGear and ColdGear at Under Armour, AEROREADY or Climalite at Adidas, dryCELL at Puma.

What sells, and at what level

Technical tees are the entry point: they move quickly, at accessible prices, to buyers after a functional garment. Sweatshirts and hoodies sell for more per item, with demand rising through autumn and winter. Licensed jerseys sit at the top of the range: their value comes not from the brand but from the club, the season and sometimes the player — a jersey listed under its franchise name sells at a completely different level from the same shirt listed as "vintage sports shirt". Finally, bold-logo pieces from the 90s and 2000s, Kappa in particular, speak to the vintage market rather than to athletes.

This category has one useful trait: it sells all year, with no seasonal window, and only two mild upticks — in January and in September. Cuts are mostly men's, with a few women's pieces depending on the intake, and sizes come as received.
