Box contents

  • 100 Calvin Klein sweaters
  • Possible shapes: crew necks, V-necks, quarter zips
  • Fine or heavy knits, in cotton or blends
  • Calvin Klein Jeans pieces possible
  • Assortment of sizes and models varies with stock
  • Gender: men's and women's, split varies with each arrival
  • Weight: about 45 kg, bale repacked into cartons
  • Grade split: around 70% Grade A / 30% Grade B, an average that varies from one bale to the next.

Resale tips

Sort Grade A and Grade B as soon as the bale arrives. Plain knit shows flaws quickly: pilling, underarm bobbles, stretched collars and cuffs, stains on light colours. Make three piles: Grade A to clean, Grade B to repair, and pieces to move in small bundles.

Caring for knitwear

  1. Run a fabric shaver over each piece before washing: on plain knit, every bobble shows on camera.
  2. Wash inside out at 30 °C on a wool or delicate cycle, with no fabric softener.
  3. Dry flat, never in a tumble dryer or on a hanger, so shoulders and length don't distort.
  4. Steam from a distance, and inside out over embroidered logos.

Resale strategy

  1. List men's and women's pieces separately: buyers filter by department, and a mis-categorised sweater stays invisible.
  2. Name the shape and fabric in the title: "Calvin Klein cotton V-neck sweater", "Calvin Klein quarter zip sweater".
  3. Photograph flat in natural light, with a close-up of the logo and the neck label.
  4. Give flat measurements (chest width, length, sleeve): it cuts returns on plain knit.
  5. Sell heavy knits and quarter zips one by one; fine crew necks move well in small bundles of three to five.

Resale potential

Cost: €4 per piece.

Grade A Calvin Klein sweaters of this type typically resell for €7 to €15 each.

Total potential on this bale: between €500 and €1,050 for a cost of €400.

Indicative only: it depends on your sorting, your photos and your market.

Understanding our grades

Every box displays a badge indicating its composition. Here is what each grade means:

🟢 Grade A — good overall condition

Garments that meet professional second-hand standards: few or no visible flaws. Resellable after a simple wash and press.

🟡 Grade B — visible signs of wear

Usable pieces showing more pronounced marks of use: light stains, fading, fabric wear or minor flaws. Well suited to resale at an adjusted price, or after light reconditioning.

What each badge means:

  • Badge "Grade A/B" → around 80% Grade A + 20% Grade B.
  • Badge "Grade B" → 100% Grade B (no Grade A pieces).
  • Badge "Bale" → around 70% Grade A on average, a rate that varies from one bale to the next.

👉 Always refer to the badge shown on each box: it states the exact composition of that particular lot.

Compressed bales: what to expect

A bale is not a box. It is sold exactly as we receive it: press-compressed and strapped. We remove no pieces, we recompose nothing, and we do not wash.

  • Around 70% Grade A on average, against ~80% for a box. This is an observed average that varies from one bale to the next: as no re-sorting is carried out, the composition depends entirely on the incoming shipment.
  • The clothes arrive creased. This is the effect of compression and has no impact on the fabric: steaming is enough.
  • Washing and ironing are your responsibility before listing.
  • Neither brands, nor sizes, nor models are guaranteed piece by piece. What the product page describes is an average composition, not a certified item-by-item content.

This is the accepted trade-off for the lowest price per piece in our catalogue: less selection upstream, more reconditioning work, and the widest margin once that work is done.

The reality of second-hand

Like any garment that has already had a first life, some items show natural signs of use: softened fabric, less rigid finishes, small imperfections that come from washing and time. These characteristics are inherent to vintage clothing and part of the product's life cycle.

Our advice for getting the most from your resale

Before listing, plan for light care: washing, ironing, and where needed stain removal or a minor repair. This reconditioning work makes a clear difference to how the pieces present and how attractive they look.

To learn more about our grading system and the distinction between Grade A and Grade B, see our dedicated guide.

Each box includes a balanced mix of sizes, styles, and colors, depending on available arrivals.

Bale of 100 Calvin Klein Sweaters

Box description

Minimalism as a signature

At Calvin Klein, the sweater is known for how little it shows: plain knit, a discreet logo, restrained colours. This bale of 100 sweaters from the brand sits in that clean register, away from patterned knits and jacquards.

Shapes and fabrics

Expect crew necks, V-necks and quarter zips, in fine or heavy knits, in cotton or blends. Calvin Klein Jeans pieces may appear. The bale holds an assortment of sizes and models that varies with stock.

What resells, and to whom

The Calvin Klein name reads at a glance, even when the logo is small or embroidered tone on tone. That places these sweaters in accessible fashion, with buyers of wardrobe basics looking for a neutral piece to wear all year. Heavy knits and quarter zips sit above the fine crew necks, which form the base of the lot.

Cuts and sizes

Cuts are mixed: some designed for men, others for women. Sizes are assorted as received.

Resale season

Knitwear sells from late summer to the end of winter. Demand picks up in September, peaks from October to December, then eases in February.
