  • Crew necks, V-necks, quarter-zips possible
  • Cable knits, English ribs, herringbone, waffle knits possible
  • Embroidered crests possible
  • Mostly menswear, a few women's pieces possible depending on the arrival
  • Assortment of sizes and models varies with stock
  • Weight: about 45 kg
  • Packing: bale of about 45 kg, repacked into cartons
  • Grade split: around 70% Grade A / 30% Grade B, an average that varies from bale to bale.

Resale tips

Sort Grade A (ready to list) from Grade B (needs rework) as soon as the bale arrives.

  1. Wash inside out at 30°C on a delicate cycle and dry flat: hung wet, chunky cables stretch out of shape.
  2. No hot tumble dry, which felts cotton. A fabric shaver handles pilling on elbows and sides.
  3. Steam from a distance, never with the iron pressed on cables or on the embroidered crest.
  4. Photograph flat in daylight, with one close-up of the knit and one of the crest or label.
  5. State the fabric and flat measurements (pit to pit, length): on knitwear, that is what buyers check before ordering.
  6. Group your listings by texture (cables, ribs, herringbone, quarter-zips) rather than selling in bulk. Listing window: September to November.

Resale potential

  • Cost: €4.50/piece.
  • Grade A Chaps sweaters of this type typically resell between €7 and €15 each.
  • Total potential on this bale: between €400 and €850 for a cost of €360.
  • Indicative potential only, depends on your sorting, photos and market.

Quality of items

Understanding our grades

Every box displays a badge indicating its composition. Here is what each grade means:

🟢 Grade A — good overall condition

Garments that meet professional second-hand standards: few or no visible flaws. Resellable after a simple wash and press.

🟡 Grade B — visible signs of wear

Usable pieces showing more pronounced marks of use: light stains, fading, fabric wear or minor flaws. Well suited to resale at an adjusted price, or after light reconditioning.

What each badge means:

  • Badge "Grade A/B" → around 80% Grade A + 20% Grade B.
  • Badge "Grade B" → 100% Grade B (no Grade A pieces).
  • Badge "Bale" → around 70% Grade A on average, a rate that varies from one bale to the next.

👉 Always refer to the badge shown on each box: it states the exact composition of that particular lot.

Compressed bales: what to expect

A bale is not a box. It is sold exactly as we receive it: press-compressed and strapped. We remove no pieces, we recompose nothing, and we do not wash.

  • Around 70% Grade A on average, against ~80% for a box. This is an observed average that varies from one bale to the next: as no re-sorting is carried out, the composition depends entirely on the incoming shipment.
  • The clothes arrive creased. This is the effect of compression and has no impact on the fabric: steaming is enough.
  • Washing and ironing are your responsibility before listing.
  • Neither brands, nor sizes, nor models are guaranteed piece by piece. What the product page describes is an average composition, not a certified item-by-item content.

This is the accepted trade-off for the lowest price per piece in our catalogue: less selection upstream, more reconditioning work, and the widest margin once that work is done.

The reality of second-hand

Like any garment that has already had a first life, some items show natural signs of use: softened fabric, less rigid finishes, small imperfections that come from washing and time. These characteristics are inherent to vintage clothing and part of the product's life cycle.

Our advice for getting the most from your resale

Before listing, plan for light care: washing, ironing, and where needed stain removal or a minor repair. This reconditioning work makes a clear difference to how the pieces present and how attractive they look.

To learn more about our grading system and the distinction between Grade A and Grade B, see our dedicated guide.

Sizes and photos

Each box includes a balanced mix of sizes, styles, and colors, depending on available arrivals.

The photos shown are non-contractual: they illustrate the type of products you may receive, without guaranteeing specific models, sizes, or colors.

Each lot is unique, guaranteeing a pleasant surprise with every order.

Fast & Flexible Delivery

Your sourcing shouldn't wait.

All our orders are shipped within 24 to 72 business hours.

Delivery time then depends on the chosen shipping method and destination.

After dispatch, delivery times are estimated at 1 to 4 business days in France and 2 to 4 business days in Europe.

You will receive a tracking link upon shipment to track your package in real time.

Bale of 80 Chaps Sweaters

Box description

Textured knits under the Chaps Ralph Lauren label

Chaps is the more accessible label within the Ralph Lauren world: the same American preppy spirit, with knitwear made for everyday wear. This bale holds 80 sweaters from the brand, and what sets them apart is the knitting itself.

What's inside

Crew necks, V-necks and quarter-zips with a stand-up collar may be included. On the knitting side, you can generally expect chunky cable knits, English ribs, herringbone patterns and waffle knits, in cotton and sometimes a blend, in classic shades: cream, grey, navy, camel. Embroidered chest crests, contrast collar linings and ribbed cuffs and hems are among the details that come up. The bale holds an assortment of sizes and models that varies with stock.

What resells best

The red and blue Chaps Ralph Lauren label is easy to spot in a listing and speaks to preppy-style buyers. At equal condition, thick cable knits and pieces with an embroidered crest resell above a plain crew neck, which sells on its cut and colour. Ribbed quarter-zips find their audience with buyers of classic menswear knitwear.

Cuts and sizes

Cuts lean mostly menswear, often straight, with slightly dropped shoulders on several models.

Resale season

The knitwear cycle repeats every year: list from back-to-school, demand builds with the first cold weather, peaks from October to December and stays steady through the end of winter.
