Wash at 30 °C inside out, with no fabric softener.
Softener coats the fleece fibre and flattens the loft — which is exactly what shows in a photo. Air-dry: never a hot tumble dryer, which mats the pile and permanently pills the friction points. Do not put the iron down on the fleece itself — steam it from a distance, and keep the low-heat iron for the nylon overlays on the Denali. A fabric shaver run over the sleeves and chest often moves a piece from Grade B to Grade A in two minutes.

It is the number one reason for returns on a zipped fleece, and it is a ten-second check.

List Denali pieces individually, the rest by use case.
A Denali buried in a bundle loses half its value: list it on its own, model named in the title, with a close-up on the nylon overlays and on the inner label. For the volume, group by use — technical outdoor on one side, casual streetwear on the other — rather than by colour. Shoot the fabric close up: on a fleece, the buyer judges the loft and the absence of pilling before anything else. And list from late August, to be in place ahead of the October peak.

What the bale holds

You will find the Denali, the brand's most recognisable piece: heavy fleece, nylon overlays at the shoulders and elbows, full zip and chest pocket. Alongside it, TKA and Glacier fleeces — full-zip, quarter-zip or high-collar — which make up the bulk of a bale; sherpa and high-pile models, long-napped and instantly readable in a photo; and bonded pieces combining fleece with windproof nylon panels. Colours run from plain black to the colour-blocking of the older collections.

The labels that lift the price

On a The North Face fleece, the inner label sets the price. Polartec, TKA 100, TKA Glacier and WindWall are not decorative markings: at equal condition and equal age, a piece carrying one of them resells above a logo-only fleece with no technical reference. The Denali, built on heavy Polartec, is the model that concentrates the most value.
